We understand direct merchants' concerns and constraints: They have to
generate profitable sales, their people are focused on developing products
and customer relationships, IT resources are scarce, and budgets and timeframes
are tight.
QuickDog's solutions are designed with these realities in mind. We develop
software modules that can be integrated easily to legacy systems. Our
software requires minimal involvement of corporate IT departments, and
puts channel personnel in control of the selection and implementation
of features and functions that enhance the customer experience. Our product
development agenda is focused on the key performance metrics direct marketers
care about most: conversion rates, average order size and repeat purchases.
Our solutions consist of three unique, patent-protected, technologies
to deliver high performance customization tools:
- Merchant Product Attribute Mapping: QuickDog's product tagging software
uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology that combines visual training
with auto-categorization to quickly profile and tag merchant data.
- Consumer Preferences: Conjoint analysis, developed with Lands' End's
innovative merchandising managers, captures user preferences in a 2-3
minute session using paired picture choices.
- Visual Search: Show Me More technology, developed by
a team at QuickDog in collaboration with NEC, a leader in developing
image matching algorithms and software.
Customer preferences are "soft" and difficult to express in
words. But a buyer knows what she likes when she sees it. Product attributes,
on the other hand are "hard" data. To accurately match customer
preferences with product attributes, each product in a merchant's line
is tagged and categorized across a large number of characteristics.
We recognize that manually categorizing an evolving product line can become
both labor intensive and time consuming. So, we created QuickDog's Product
Profiler to auto-categorize products across any number of selected
attributes using proprietary AI technologies. Auto-categorization combined
with the initial deployment on landsend.com during the 2000 holiday season
gives us the traction and proven ROI needed to capitalize on this new
and fast-growing market category-all protected by our 8 patents filed
on this technology.
